This is the best of the best of Rina Kent. The mystery in this book was a nice added touch! If you haven't yet started this series, what are you waiting for? Go for the DL! Y'all-we get some grovel! It's not as much as I would've liked, but I do love me a good grovel moment. Despite how much of a jerk Jeremy can be, he never allows Cecily to be anything other than her TRUE self. Does that stop me from loving it in my romance reads? Absolutely NOT. I love how NEXT LEVEL stalker Jeremy became. OBVIOUSLY we are in for lots of back and forth between these two (both in and out of the sheets, lol). She is kind and will often put the needs of her friends above her own. Although she is fiercely independent, she is also the mother-hen of her friend group. There is nothing particularly nice about his demeanor. A protective brother, but a ruthless leader. So far, we have seen Jeremy as violent yet cunning. In this particular story from the Legacy of Gods series, we get to learn more about Jeremy and Cecily. There's so much to love: the college setting, the accents (I frigging love listening to books with different accents!), the alphahole males, and SO MUCH STEAM. To say that I'm obsessed with this series would be an understatement.

Heiser reveals what the Bible really says about God's supernatural servants. In The Unseen Realm Michael Heiser opened the eyes of thousands to seeing the Bible through the supernatural worldview of the ancient world it was written in. It's a book about the loyal members of God's heavenly host, and while most people associate them with the word "e angel,"e that's just one of many terms the Bible uses for supernatural beings. This book was written to help change that. What the Bible really says about angels is overlooked or filtered through popular myths. If you read Luke 1:26-38 and imagine the angel Gabriel standing before Mary with neatly folded white wings, you're not getting that picture from anything the Bible itself says. What does the Bible really tell us about the heavenly host?Everyone knows that angels have wings, usually carry harps, and that each of us has our own personal guardian angel, right? We all have some preconceptions about angels from movies, television shows, and other media, but you might be surprised to know that a lot of those notions aren't based on anything from the Bible. It’s a potent warning about a racist practice that, before 2017, was just Hollywood doing business. While Ghost in the Shell wasn’t the last movie to whitewash an Asian character, its radioactive wreckage lingers in the air. But its failure marked a change to the industry’s racist tradition of whitewash casting, where white actors play minority roles or characters are rewritten to be white under the auspices of mass market appeal. Half a decade later, Ghost in the Shell should be a footnote. WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE TIME-TRAVEL MOVIE? Click here to help us rank all the ones on Netflix. Despite boasting star power in Scarlett Johansson, its paltry box office of $169.8 million was matched only by the lethargy of critics, who called it “flat, droning” and “lacking in soul.” Ghost in the Shell opened on March 31, 2017. As an English-language adaptation of the influential Japanese anime and manga, the film has a legacy, just one its filmmakers didn’t intend. Five years ago, Ghost in the Shell became an important release that changed Hollywood. PLEASE NOTE: This is key takeaways and analysis of the book and NOT the original book.
